About
Evelyn WINTYR is an artist and musician, born in Cape Town and now based in the UK. Her practice begins with drawing: charcoal dreamscapes that act as translations of poetry, memory, and lived encounter. For her, art is a language—one that can trace the textures of time, open imaginative worlds, and carry the viewer into states of recognition and reverie.
WINTYR Editions is the platform through which she releases these explorations as curated capsules. Each capsule unfolds as a timeworld: a constellation of drawings, prints, postcards, sound, and text. The first, Prelude Editions, emerges from her work in the Lake District, re-imagining Wordsworth’s Prelude as a living field of visions and encounters. Hero works appear in timed editions, while open-edition keepsakes extend their afterlife, allowing the rhythm of release to become part of the work itself.
